Ardmore Pottery and Gallery was established in 1983 by Mary Lincoln at her home in Ardmore, Co. Waterford. The premises, having expanded over the years, has maintained its original location. Ardmore Pottery and Gallery is proud to have sustained its founding ethos: to house under one roof the best of Irish craftwork alongside a working pottery studio.
The ceramics made at Ardmore Pottery and Gallery are designed by Mary Lincoln. These hand-thrown earthenware pots are predominantly functional tableware. The pots are thrown, fired and decorated on-site. The distinguishing features of her work are the extremely thin pottery wall and the simple and clear lines of her work. All are welcome to visit the studio and gallery.

Having spent 30 years working for Waterford Crystal, Joe Williams left in 1989 to pursue excellence in the traditional manufacturing methods of mouth blown and hand cut crystal. The Book Centre has shops in Waterford, Kilkenny, Wexford and Kildare. We pride ourselves on our experience and knowledge of books and also on our capacity to bring this expertise to the service of our customers.
As a company we are totally customer focused, we are very much aware that our past success and our future prospects depend entirely on the continued loyalty of our customers.
A great deal of time and energy goes into providing our customers with reliable recommendations in their choice of reading.
We source books regularly throughout the English speaking world- Ireland, Britain, United States and Australia, whether these are for stock or special orders.
We are also conscious that price is an important part of the purchasing decision. We use our experience and buying power to ensure that the majority of our offer, particularly, but not exclusively, the “best selling” section, is heavily discounted, often as low as half price.
We realise that children are an important ingredient in our present and future business and we are particularly proud of our very child friendly children’s department. We also have regular children’s events such as storytelling and face painting.
The most outstanding characteristic of our shops is their atmosphere of comfort and friendliness towards our customers. We encourage customers to browse, sit on the many chairs and armchairs throughout the store and read our stock books, while they have a coffee or tea and maybe a scone or biscuit.
Our ambition is that people feel at home in one of our shops and can relax in comfort. We also have extensive magazine sections in all our shops; almost every magazine published is stocked by us.
Our greeting card department is always the largest available. We go to great lengths to find unusual and exciting cards for our customers.
All our stores have large Gift departments. Our buyers source gifts from all parts of the world, ensuring a unique and ever changing selection. A very wide range of stationery is available in our stores, ranging from day to day requirements to artists’ supplies. There are literally thousands of products in stock.
All in all a Book Centre Store is much more than a bookshop. It’s an experience to be enjoyed at leisure.

Top Holiday Destinations of Ireland's South East
The South East of Ireland, comprising the five counties of Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford, is an evocative patchwork of fertile valleys and plains. Down through the centuries the Celts, Vikings, Anglo-Saxons and Normans have passed through these valleys, leaving behind a landscape rich in historical remains. Countless castles, abbeys, fortresses and ancient settlements remain to mark their passage. The five river systems – the Barrow, Blackwater, Nore, Slaney and Suir - criss-cross the South East, meandering under old stone bridges, around magical mountains, through picturesque villages and past neatly thatched cottages before finally entering the sea at scenic, peaceful seaside towns.
The South East has things to do for everyone of all ages and tastes: historic monuments, colourful gardens; well-maintained and sign-posted walking and cycling paths; abundant fishing locations; numerous golf courses, equestrian centres and exciting festivals.
From coast to country, the South East has it all. Come see it for yourself...
